You will serve as a IT SPECIALIST(SYSADMIN/CUSTSPT) in the Department of Energy (DOE) Naval Reactors(NR) Material Office, Naval Supply Systems Command, Weapon Systems Support(NAVSUP WSS).
Duties
You will develop and maintain internal operating procedures, directives, instructions and user manuals for all servers, network attached storage (NAS) devices, and peripherals in accordance with DOE/DOD/DON standards.
You will track network devices and works with other IT team members and developers to find solutions to various issues and improvements on the network.
You will install new hardware, software, patches, and imaging of devices on the network.
You will monitor and respond to information system security incidents and violations.
You will serve as a system administrator and customer support technician for organization, supporting classified network systems residing on the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program Local Area Network (LAN).
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Utilizing network architectures, topologies, ad protocols;
Using network hardware, software, tools, and techniques to administer various devices;
Troubleshooting and solving problems on network equipment and distinguishing between software and hardware problems;
Applying a wide range of IT systems analysis and design techniques and approaches;
Applying security and integrity requirements, requirements analysis, testing, configuration management, and life cycle management;
Conducting plans and carrying out IT design studies;
Determining feasibility of requirements and design alternatives;
Writing functional documentation, program specifications and training materials.
