About the Position: Serves as supply technician for a training department. The incumbent is the central point for procurement, requisitioning, storing, issuing, control and inventory of tools, stock, repair parts and supplies as well as components used in weapons maintenance training and for items falling under the division property account consisting of housekeeping and office supplies and equipment, tools and machines/equipment required for support of the mission.
Duties
Conduct quarterly review of Supply Demands in GCSS-Army of supplies used during the quarter.
Maintain a hand receipt account of multiple line items located within the department.
Assure new supplies are issued to requesting personnel in the department.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
- Financial Disclosure Statement OGE Form 450 is used to assist agencies and employees to avoid conflicts between duties and financial interest. This position requires financial disclosure in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
- This position has a requirement to lift up to 40 lbs. in the regular performance of duties.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes utilizing an automated supply database such as Global Combat Support System - Army (GCSS-Army) to perform supply actions such as; maintaining supplies/equipment or hand receipt records, creating supply purchase requests, performing inventories, tracking supply requirements; receiving, issuing, distributing or storing supplies/equipment for an organization. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
