About the Position: Serves as a Senior Supply Technician. Serves as the central point of contact for requisitioning, receipt, storage, issue, inventory management and maintenance of equipment and supplies for the organization, including specialized and complex supply items.
Duties
Serves as a Senior Supply Technician and the central point of contact for requisitioning, receipt, storage, issue, inventory management and maintenance of equipment and supplies for the organization, including specialized and complex supply items.
Oversees receipts and reconciliations and ensures all contract/vendor obligations have been met before authorizing payment.
Ensures all mandatory source requirements are met, that card purchase, and payment do not exceed maximum level purchase, as well as compliance with regulatory guidance for the Government Purchase Card Program.
Perform analysis on all supply systems while maintaining required supply quantities within the organization.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position may require routine business travel (TDY) up to 10 percent of the time to other locations for temporary duty.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination.
- This position has a requirement to lift up to 50 lbs. in the regular performance of duties.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
- This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing a comprehensive program for receipt, control and distribution of a very wide variety of supplies, including specialized items, hard to find items or those that have unusual requirement and/or are technical. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
OR
Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Supply Management.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
