Serves in a multi-functional unit as Supply Technician in the Logistics and Engineering Directorate, Property Accountability Division. The Division is responsible for all phases of property management program requirements, development and execution of the report of survey program for all commissaries, FOAs, and Agency Headquarters. Provides complex technical advice, assistance and guidance in all phases of property accountability and related operating equipment/supplies to operating officials.
Duties
Performs assignments and assists points of contact at supported areas and commissaries in operational procedures involved in the requisition, receipt, issue, accountability, documentation, reporting, processing, and disposal of equipment and other items in accordance with procedures and policies.
Assists in DPAS system maintenance, and identifies actual and potential problems with appropriate solutions.
Maintains contact with and provides technical direction with the responsibility for the maintenance of an effective property accountability program for DeCA logistics personnel worldwide.
Provides day-to-day guidance, assistance and advice to areas and commissaries/CDCs on all accountability requirements for established and assigned area/store database.

Qualifications
You must meet the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) qualifications for series 2005 and additional requirements by the announcement closing date. Your resume must clearly show that you have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least GS-06. Experience can be under other Federal service pay systems, private sector, or military.
Examples of qualifying specialized experience:
Deals with accountability and reporting of damaged, destroyed or lost property.
Provides complex technical advice, assistance and guidance of property accountability, related operating equipment/ supplies to operating officials.
Identifies actual and potential problem with appropriate solutions.
Provides status reports, suspense dates for equipment acquisition, transfer, or disposal or similar information when requested.
You will receive credit for all relevant qualifying experience (paid and unpaid), including volunteer work done through National Service program (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
Additional Requirements that must be met by the closing date:
Physical requirements: The work is normally sedentary, but includes some walking, standing, bending, carrying of light items such as papers and books.
Time-in-grade applies to the promotion of current and former federal employees who hold or have held a permanent GS position in either the competitive or excepted service in the previous 52 weeks, including current employees applying under VEOA. For GS-7: You must have 52 weeks of Federal service at or equivalent to GS-6.
Time after competitive appointment. Current federal civilian employees must have completed at least 90 days of federal civilian service since being selected for a non temporary appointment from a competitive examination register of eligibles (an announcement opened to the public) or under a direct hire authority.
