The primary purpose of this position is: to provide administrative and operations support in managing the installation's Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) program to insure contingency, mobility, and war readiness. Incumbent's assigned areas of responsibility focus on training, equipment, and supply.
Duties
Serves as a technical advisor.
Oversees and evaluates the EOD Flight's training program.
Manages munitions activity.
Manage EOD Flight Programs. Manages and documents Employee Safety and Health Record (AF Form 55) program.
Serves as administrative support.

- Graduation from the Navy School of Explosive Ordnance Disposal with a 7-Skill Level in AFSC 3E8XI is highly desirable.
- The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary or permanent duty assignments.
- Incumbent may be required to be on standby after normal duty hours and work varying hours, rotating shifts, and/or significant overtime, to include weekends and holidays, during exercises, contingencies, and as mission requirements dictate.
- The work will require the employee to drive a motor vehicle. An appropriate, valid driver's license will be required for the position.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
- This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to the possibility of random drug test.
Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions, Series 0301.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-07, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes knowledge of mobility and war readiness concepts, methodology, requirements, and operating principles and how they apply to the EOD Flight and the mission of the Wing. Knowledge of EOD equipment and supplies including: forecasting requirements; maintenance procedures and operational checks of EOD robotics, tools, and protective equipment; explosives handling and safety, proper storage, and security. Knowledge of training program relationships and training systems to ensure proficiency and other mandatory training of flight members is kept current. Knowledge of quality assurance, analytical, and evaluative methods, and techniques. NOTE: Your answer must be supported by information in your resume.

EDUCATION: A master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts.
OR
COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: I have at least one year of progressively higher level graduate education, but have not obtained a master's or equivalent graduate degree. Therefore, I have a combination of experience and education. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-07 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-09 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1.Knowledge of all aspects of an operational EOD Flight with emphasis on EOD/munitions training, equipment, and supply to insure readiness.
2.Knowledge of laws, regulations, policies, procedures, techniques, and methods to oversee activities for assigned specializations and functions.
3.Knowledge of the hazards associated with explosive and munitions, proper handling and standard storage, and hazardous classifications.
4.Skill in developing training programs and conducting training and testing; written and oral communication as demonstrated in the application and interpretation of applicable instructions and similar documents used in the preparation of training materials, and conducting training classes and/or briefings.
5.Ability to plan and organize work, analyze problems, develop economical solutions autonomously and timely in a team setting, and maintain good working relations.
6.Ability to use office automation tools and techniques to retrieve, design, and generate reports, briefing materials, and other documents.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
