Duties
Conduct detail reviews, analysis, and evaluation of Special Forces training, education, and operational requirements to determine the short- and long-range impact on SF training requirements.
Develop Course Administrative Data (CAD), Programs of Instruction (POI), Individual Training Plan (ITP), Course Management Plan, and Individual Student Assessment Plan (ISAP) for assigned programs.
Design and develop training courses requiring the establishment of instructional design and development criteria through the analysis of educational or instructional problems or questions.
Develop special projects designed to improve procedures, respond to a general tasking, answer internal, external, and higher headquarters inquiries, or correct a deficiency affecting several organizational units.
Negotiate with other staffs, directorates, and departments to accept and implement recommendations that have a substantial effect on the long training range and resources requirements.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top-Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This position is subject to a pre-employment drug screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that demonstrates a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction, which includes experience in applying and developing special forces training utilizing the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) or equivalent in the operational planning and execution of special forces operations in an operational and/or training environment; experience with special forces tactics, techniques and procedures (TTP) development; experience instructing a Special Forces qualification course (SFQC), operational preparation of the environment (OPE), and/or preparation of the environment (PE) for potential special operations and/or unconventional warfare. The OPM Qualification Standard provides the following examples:
Teaching or instructing in an adult education program, secondary school, college, military installation, or industrial establishment in the appropriate field(s).
Supervising or administering a training program.
Development or review of training/course materials, aids, devices, etc., and evaluation of training results.
Work in the occupation or subject-matter field of the position to be filled that required training or instructing others on a regular basis.
