About the Position:
The primary purpose of the position is to provide managers with objectively based information for making decisions on the administrative and programmatic aspects of agency managed acquisition programs, by accomplishing a wide variety of assignments concerned with planning and execution of acquisition programs, acquisition review and oversight support for major defense acquisition programs, and effectiveness and efficiency of programs and operations.
Duties
Creating complex queries to pull program financial data from source systems, validating the correctness and accuracy of the queries.
Using of a variety of data Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) methods to generate custom data sets for analysis.
Using data from query results to create visualizations which provide business insights into the project and program budget and expenditures, including trend analysis and predictive analytics.
Using of data modeling and visualization tools such as Microsoft power BI.
Comprehending a variety of source systems sufficiently to allow for accurate and reliable adhoc reporting on project budget and expenditures, including trend analysis and predictive analytics.
Requirements

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to issues or studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of program operations; providing all financial guidance and oversight functions for assigned directorate with regard to the establishment and interpretation of financial policies and directions; utilizing automated systems, such as Microsoft power query and Microsoft power BI, to create financial trend analysis of projects or programs; establishing and maintaining effective relationships with customers, information sources and project team members. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
