About the Position: The incumbent will design, test, demonstrate and evaluate training management products for the Training Management Directorate (TMD).
Duties
Integrate training initiatives and requirements into current and future training management programs and information systems.
Develop and implement special projects designed to improve and support operational and institutional training management procedures.
Formulate training management policies or procedures to include the application of automated tools.
Provide assistance and training to units and institutions in the operation and use of training management systems and related doctrinal principles.
Analyze training management doctrine, field input and emerging concepts for incorporation into training plans and systems.
Formulate policies and operational procedures, develop, and implement written criteria.
Develop a variety of reports and briefings.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Business Travel/TDY up to 20% of the time.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes demonstrated work experience with web-based systems such as Digital Training Management System (DTMS) to manage unit training records and plans. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
