As a Human Resources Specialist (Compensation) at the GS-0201-14, you will be part of Workforce Policy and Innovation, Office of Personnel Management. If selected, you will be responsible for serving as a senior technical expert for projects in workforce flexibility program areas.
Duties
Coordinate efforts to respond to management or agency requests for timely and authoritative interpretation, solution, and guidance on
government-wide pay, leave, and workforce flexibility regulations, policies, and programs.
Conduct research and coordinates with senior OPM human resources and management officials to produce talking points, position papers, regulations, correspondence, memoranda, or other written products.
Develop draft legislative proposals that may be required to make necessary improvements in Federal pay, leave, and workforce flexibility systems.
Qualifications
For the GS 14: You must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-13 level in the federal service or equivalent in the private or public sector which included 1) developing policies or guidance to administer employee compensation programs; 2) conducting analyses to find solutions relating to new, complex, or unusual compensation administration issues; 3) researching and analyzing pay administration regulations, policies, and programs to develop solutions to pay issues.
Applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-13 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-14 level.
