VA Careers - Social Work: https://youtube.com/embed/enRhz_ua_UU Duties may include but are not limited to: The CRS Coordinator provides Contract Officer Representative (COR) responsibilities for this program and must be able to gain designation by the Contracting Officer as the Contracting Officer's Representative. The designation shall be in writing, specify the extent of the COR's authority to act on behalf of the CO, identify the limitations of the COR's authority, specify the period covered by designation, state the authority is not re-delegable, and state that the COR may be personally liable for unauthorized acts. The Social Worker must complete training required to be designated as COR. This is a requirement to maintain employment in this position. The CRS Coordinator in the role of the COR will be an essential member of any CRS acquisition team and is involved throughout the acquisition process. The COR provides comprehensive program assessments, stays informed of best practices or innovations in provision of CRS, prepares procurement packages, and conducts market research reports to show the need for additional contracted services. The CRS Coordinator is responsible for writing professional reports for inspections, contractor performance evaluations, QA reviews, invoices, market research, Independent Government Cost Estimated (IGCE), annual past performance evaluations, contract deficiencies, and Performance Work Statements. The CRS Coordinator interviews potential clients, interprets VHA guidelines and eligibility requirements, initiates eligibility determination, and forwards to VA eligibility staff members. Establishes an initial assessment at the time of the first visit, and then completes subsequent psychosocial assessment and treatment plan. Documents the patient assessment and all treatment plans in accordance with the requirements of Medical Center policy and requirements of Joint Commission and CARF. Employs casework methods and techniques to maintain a therapeutic relationship that will help the client work towards the best way of dealing with their problems. Establishes a continuing relationship with the client, evaluating progress towards goals, performing follow-up after referral and adjusts treatment plan when needed. Monitors client's progress, maintains comprehensive case documentation, including entering data in the Homeless Operations Management and Evaluation System (HOMES) online data collection system, and shows competent discretion in decision to adjust treat. The CRS Coordinator will provide follow-up contact with Veterans that are permanently housed from a CRS program without on-going case management to check on housing status and gauge if a Veteran has any further needs. The CRS Coordinator also assists with coverage of the Health Care for Homeless Veterans (HCHC) walk-in clinic for those that are literally homeless, homeless hotline consult coverage, and facility Homeless consults when needed. Qualifications

Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met. Basic Requirements: United States Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy. Education. Have a master's degree in social work from a school of social work fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). Graduates of schools of social work that are in candidacy status do not meet this requirement until the School of Social Work is fully accredited. A doctoral degree in social work may not be substituted for the master's degree in social work. Verification of the degree can be made by going to http://www.cswe.org/Accreditation to verify that the social work degree meets the accreditation standards for a masters of social work. Licensure. Persons hired or reassigned to social worker positions in the GS-0185 series in VHA must be licensed or certified by a state to independently practice social work at the master's degree level. Current state requirements may be found by going to http://vaww.va.gov/OHRM/T38Hybrid/. English Language Proficiency. Candidates must be proficient in spoken and written English to be appointed as authorized by 38 U.S.C. § 7403(f). May qualify based on being covered by the Grandfathering Provision as described in the VA Qualification Standard for this occupation (only applicable to current VHA employees who are in this occupation and meet the criteria). Grade Determinations: GS 12 (1) Experience and Education. One year of experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level. Experience must demonstrate possession of advanced practice skills and judgment, demonstrating progressively more professional competency. Candidate may have certification or other post-master's degree training from a nationally recognized professional organization or university that includes a defined curriculum/course of study and internship, or equivalent supervised professional experience. (2) Licensure/Certification. Individuals assigned as social worker program coordinator must be licensed or certified at the advanced practice level, and must be able to provide supervision for licensure. [(3) Demonstrated Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities. In addition to the experience above, the candidate must demonstrate all of the following KSAs: (a) Knowledge of program coordination and administration which includes consultation, negotiation, and monitoring. (b) Knowledge and ability to write policies, procedures, and/or practice guidelines for the program. (c) Ability to supervise multidisciplinary staff assigned to the program. (d) Skill in organizing work, setting priorities, meeting multiple deadlines, and evaluating assigned program area(s). (e) Ability to provide training, orientation, and guidance within clinical practice. References: VA Handbook 5005/120, Part II, Appendix G39 (Social Worker Qualification Standard) The full performance level of this vacancy is GS-12. Physical Requirements: This position is mostly sedentary and requires walking, kneeling, bending, standing, and light lifting.
