YOU WILL SERVE AS A MAINTENANCE MANAGEMENT SPECIALISTIN THE INDUSTRIAL EXECUTION DEPARTMENT, PRODUCTION TRADES DIVISION OF FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.

Duties

You will apply practical knowledge of ground support equipment functions and management of assigned Integrated Product Team hazardous waste containment and disposal program. You will identify and schedule GSE equipment for preventive maintenance and calibration and perform daily pre-operational checks on various pieces of equipment. You will coordinate efforts with Defense Logistics Agency, contractors and working with other internal organizations within the FRC-SW. You will maintain daily records on GSE and hazardous material in accordance with ISO 14001 guidelines. You will participate in the preventative maintenance planning, development, coordination, improvement and implementation of procedures governing GSE necessary to the mission of FRSC-SW

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Ability to exercise independent judgment, resourcefulness, persuasion, tact and to deal successfully with a variety of people on various matters; 2) Knowledge of preventative maintenance methods and processes associated with ground support equipment utilized in maintaining a wide variety of aircraft, engines, components and related systems; 3) Comprehensive knowledge of material process and assembly operations utilized at the test line and preservation areas; 4) Knowledge of the FRC-SW's mission, organization, structure, shop locations, production processes, workload programs and channels of communications; 5) Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing to provide management advisory services in assigned functions; 6) Ability to prepare written reports and other communications to accomplish the work. In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

master's or equivalent graduate degree
or
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.B. or J.D., if related
