You will serve as a Program Analyst in the Fleet Readiness Center Southwest, Central Coordination Office of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.

Duties

You will monitor operations and identify systemic issues that can be improved to achieve increased production and contribute to significant cost savings or improve customer satisfaction. You will analyze programs and projects to evaluate effectiveness, recognize weaknesses in work processes, and formulate meaningful solutions that result in positive impact and overall productivity improvements. You will correlate, analyze, and manipulate data to provide insight to system performance and trends. You will advise management, colleagues, and customer on problems by proposing options and alternatives. You will accomplish other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications

For the GS-09 Program Analyst position: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Assisting in analyzing and evaluating industrial program operations on a quantitative or qualitative basis to ensure efficiency and effectiveness as well as meeting established agency goals and objectives; 2) Demonstrating working knowledge of aviation systems support processes, including business systems and operations; 3) Researching new or improved business and management practices for application to agency programs and operations; 4) Identifying data required for use in the management and direction of agency programs; and 5) Advising management, colleagues, and customer on problems by proposing options and alternatives. For the GS-11 Program Analyst position: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Applying complex methods for analyzing and evaluating industrial program operations on a quantitative or qualitative basis to ensure efficiency and effectiveness as well as meeting established agency goals and objectives; 2) Demonstrating in-depth working knowledge of aviation systems support processes, including business systems and operations; 3) Researching new and improved business and management practices for application to agency programs and operations; 4) Identifying data required for use in the management and direction of agency programs; and 5) Advising management, colleagues, and customers on difficult problems by proposing options and alternatives. For a GS-0343-11, PROGRAM ANALYST:

Have successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
or
Have successfully completed three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
or

I have a combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.

Have successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree.
or
Have successfully completed two full years of progressively higher graduate level education leading to a master's degree.
or
