You will serve as a PROGRAM ANALYST (AERONAUTICAL) in the Force Safety Directorate of COMMANDER NAVAL AIR PACIFIC.
Duties
You will provide Naval Air Force program management and guidance for the Aviation Safety Awareness Program (ASAP).
You will cultivate and implement innovative solutions designed to reduce risk exposure across all aviation and occupational disciplines to eliminate or minimize human injury, property damage, and mission degradation.
You will conduct special studies and investigations in the areas of training, procedures, regulations, and human factors, resulting in risk management best practices that reduce or eliminate the possibility of accidents and incidents.
You will use state-of-the-art computer hardware and software to analyze data to support development and application of loss-prevention controls.
You will monitor results of all major command mishap investigations and make recommendations regarding submitted corrective actions for applicability.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: conducting studies of aviation and occupational safety issues to identify hazardous practices and actionable solutions to control or eliminate hazards and reduce error in human performance.
