You will serve as a ELECTRICIAN SUPERVISOR 1 in the Electrical/Electronics Shop (Code 950), Production Resources Department Manager (Code 901), Production Resources Department (Code 900) at NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.
Duties
You will serve as a first line Electrician Supervisor charged with exercising supervision over subordinate workers in accomplishing electrician work.
You will be responsible for the quality and quantity of the work performed by subordinates, requiring the application of expert knowledge of the methods, techniques, processes, procedures, tools, materials, and practices of the electrician trade.
You will plan the use of workers, equipment, facilities, materials, and tools for the assigned units of work.
You will conduct planning reviews with assigned personnel, engineers, and technicians of support codes when needed.
You will monitor the status of assigned work in relation to the overall scheduled requirements.
Requirements

Qualifications

Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.

Applying knowledge of Submarine and/or Surface ship systems, components, compartments and tanks.
Demonstrating skills and processes required for the formal electrician trade.
Utilizing Advanced Industrial Management (AIM) processes.
Applying knowledge of principles of contamination controls and manrem control and reduction.
Utilizing skills in Reactor Plant Trades and basic nuclear trades.
Interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and local procedures; and
Conducting quality checks or inspections of electrical equipment or products to determine quality, condition, or overall appearance.
