About the Position: This Program Specialist is located at U.S. Army Evaluation Center, Ballistic Missile Defense Evaluation Directorate with duty location of Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. (merit)
Duties
Serve as the Program Specialist for the Army Evaluation Center’s Ballistic Missile Defense Evaluation Directorate (BMDED)/Missile Defense System Operational Test Agency Team.
As a Program Specialist focuses on areas such as formulating, implementing and evaluating procedures relating to the operations of BMDED across three geographically separated locations in support of missile defense test and evaluation efforts.
Serve as a Program Specialist to the Director of an Evaluation Directorate in matters such as formulation, implementation, and evaluation of procedures.
Ensure the coordination of events is carried out efficiently/effectively.
Serve as Directorate point of contact for Headquarters Support Activities in areas such as Operations, Personnel, Resource Management, and Methodology.
Execute projects within established constraints such as financial and time.
Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- The duties of this position meet the criteria for compliance with Federal and Department of the Army Drug Free Workplace Programs. Detection of the presence of drugs is warranted.
- This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
- This position requires the employee to occasionally travel (TDY) away from the normal duty station up to 10%.
- The employee may be required to work overtime.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Execute the prioritization and sequencing of higher headquarters and internal suspense actions in various stages of completion within the organization to meet deadlines; 2) Manage cross-organizational interface activities to include personnel, resource management, and technical support activities; AND 3) Review and execute staff procedures for adherence to current policies and procedures.This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11/NH-02).
