You will supports the Executive Officer (XO) to the Deputy to the Commanding General (DCG) in management of daily operations for the DCG and provides DCG Office administration oversight. Duties require an extensive and in-depth knowledge of the organization, mission, policies, functions, and procedures.
Duties
Maintain DCG calendar/appointments/meeting schedules, and coordinates and provides protocol assistance for official presentation and events including honors, awards, promotions, retirements and assumption of Command responsibility ceremonies.
Review work of staff, analysis of compliance with management decisions, recommendations, implementation, and accomplishment.
Evaluates, plans and coordinates arrangements for visits of military and civilian dignitaries.
Provide guidance to staff on administrative processes and procedures to support administrative functions.
Act as official representative for command leadership at points of arrival, meetings/briefings, and events to ensure proper protocol is followed for distinguished visitors.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- You must obtain and maintain a SECRET Security clearance.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
- This position require TDY up to 5% at the time.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-02, or GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes: Develop the framework for policies, programs, and systems; Resolve complex and highly visible problems to ensure compliance; skilled in preparing executive level briefings, white papers, summaries, and other documents; AND organize/attend meetings, conferences, and seminars to ensure widest dissemination of information; Plan, conduct, and document a variety of studies/reports, including findings, conclusions, recommendations and follow up.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11, NH-02).
