You will serve as a Supervisory Management Analyst in the Technical Staff (Code 130S) in the Quality Assurance Office (Code 130) atNORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.
Duties
You will communicate with leadership from other shipyards and naval commands throughout the country and overseas.
You will plan, direct, and administer financial management programs for the department.
You will review and evaluate the financial performance of the department relative to the accomplishment of their budgeted workload.

- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Managing personnel, leading effective teams and performance management strategies and systems.
Demonstrating knowledge of shipyard disciplinary and award policies/processes as well as EEO policies and regulations.
Demonstrating comprehensive knowledge in shipyard procurement processes for both materials and contracted services.
Utilizing knowledge and experience with shipyard financial management systems, programs, policies, budgets and cost control procedures.
Utilizing Knowledge of concepts, principles, practices, laws and regulations as they apply to shipyard financial management programs.
Demonstrating knowledge and experience with the establishment and maintenance of shipyard mission, cost reimburseable and overhead lines of accounting.
Utilizing knowledge of credit card regulations related to travel, material and service purchases.
Demonstrating knowledge of shipyard workload and resource reporting system, integrated staffing plan, resource management and experience with hiring and recruitment of talent.
