Duties
The Building Energy & Environment Division enables cost-effective, energy-efficient, grid-integrated buildings that have healthy and comfortable indoor environments and reduced environmental impacts through advances in measurement science and standards development.
The individual selected for this position will provide direct administrative and financial management support to the Building Energy & Environment Division.
Major duties for this position include, but are not limited to:
Administering time and attendance
Preparing and arranging travel authorizations for international and/or domestic travel Receiving visitors and incoming calls
Managing appointment calendars for Division staff Processing grants, contracts and Cooperative Agreements
Providing meeting support by working collaboratively with staff
Purchasing and procuring office supplies, equipment and services
Preparing and reviewing documents, reports and correspondence for accuracyEstablishing and maintaining office filing systems
Establishing and/or implementing new office procedures
Other duties as assigned
Although not required, special consideration will be given to applicants who possess skill in prioritizing, tracking, completing multiple tasks, and have experience using Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
All applicants must be able to type at least 40 WPM.

Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
Applicants must have one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 level (ZS-III at NIST). Specialized experience is defined as experience performing a broad range of office management assignments including serving as a timekeeper, preparing and managing travel requests, completing procurement and bankcard processing, coordinating meetings, and utilizing automated systems to complete reoccurring reports.
All applicants must also be able to type at least 40 WPM.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done. We will credit all qualifying volunteer experience in your application.
