You will serve as a Supervisory Production Manager in the Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul Production Division of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.

Duties

You will be responsible for the overall integration of the production effort including but not limited to, the overhaul/repair of aircraft, engines, components, accessories and support equipment. You will manage a comprehensive, data-driven performance measurement framework to continually evaluate the status and progress of production-related activities by participating in daily production meetings and walk-arounds. You will provide direction to all program supervisors and to other personnel directly assigned or identified to support the product. You will plan work to be accomplished based on priori ties and coordinates shared capacity. You will ensure that decision making within the team does not sub-optimize overall FRC-SW operations. You will give advice, counsel or instruction to assigned personnel.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Demonstrating knowledge of the advanced concepts, theories, principles and practices of all aspects of integrated logistics support management related to aircraft components and/or engines, processes, procedures, and tools; 2) Managing production efforts for specialized aircraft components including the overhaul/repair of aircraft, engines, components, accessories and support equipment; 2) Participating in strategic planning and balancing the factors that influence quality, schedule, cost and technical performance to ensure that quality, timely and affordable products are delivered; 4) Analyzing production needs to develop requirements for product initiatives and planning.
