About the Position: The pay band NH-03 includes the General Schedule grade equivalent to GS-12/13.
Duties
Performs studies relating to such factors as turnover, identifies workforce dynamics, trends, and anticipated changes that may impact the workforce
Identifies needs for and initiates special projects and studies, such as succession planning, workforce analysis, and other planning initiatives.
Analyzes and interprets guidance on training policies and procedures from higher headquarters and initiates appropriate action.
Develops and coordinates many on-site training programs, including specialized technical training, leadership development, and intern development courses.
Serves as the Organizational Acquisition Point of Contact (OAP) for the organization’s Army Acquisition Workforce, providing authoritative guidance and assistance to employees and supervisors.
Oversees and manages Defense Acquisition Workforce Development Fund (DAWDF) request submissions and disbursements.
Writes and publishes training directives, regulations, policy letters, annual training guidance, and internal operating procedures per Crane Army Ammunition Activity (CAAA) policies and guidelines.
Exercises position management responsibilities, ensuring subordinate job descriptions are current and accurate.
Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
- A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
- Selectee must meet position requirements for Program Management Certification within 60 months of entrance on duty.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Performing studies to develop workforce requirements and plans to include succession planning, workforce analysis, and/or other workforce planning initiatives. 2) Providing acquisition guidance to the command to include guidance on Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA), Acquisition, Technology, & Logistics (AT&L) Workforce, and/or Career Acquisition Management Portal (CAMP)/Career Acquisition Personnel and Position Management Information System (CAPPMIS). 3) Writing internal training operating procedures to include directives, regulations, policy letters, and/or annual training guidance.
