You will serve as a TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER (TECHNICIAN) in the CVN Integration Branch (N65) in the Availability Integration Division (N60) of the Modernization and Installation Department (N00) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER, Port Hueneme Division, San Diego Detachment.
Duties
You will serve as the Deputy Combat Systems Officer (DCSO) team lead for CVN in support of Commander Naval Air Forces, Pacific (CNAP).
You will analyze, interpret, formulate and enforce processes and policy relating to the repair, maintenance and modernization of Pacific fleet aircraft carriers.
You will establish program objectives and long-range plans to ensure the aircraft carrier force is kept materially ready and readiness policies and practices are implemented.
You will monitor and maintain readiness supporting aircraft carriers, performing program management and analytical duties, formulating, justifying, and executing CNAP ship maintenance strategy and financial resources.
You will continuously review and monitor prior and current year program execution and out-year maintenance requirements and recommend required adjustments to execution budgets and out-year requirements.
You will make endorsements and recommendations to the Combat Systems Officer (CSO) on non-standard installations or Target Configuration Date (TCD) waiver requests for assigned Aircraft Carriers.
You will serve as the technical expert to resolve problems in existing ship's systems and programs requiring innovative solutions.
You will review requirements for C5ISR equipment improvement, test evaluation, and new developments on assigned Aircraft Carriers.
You will develop and recommend guidelines for Aircraft Carriers on C5ISR issues when no precedents have been established, and act as CNAF Combat System Officer (CSO) when assigned.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band, NT-04 pay band (GS-11/12 equivalent) or grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector formulating, analyzing, or enforcing processes and policy relating to the material readiness of aircraft carriers.
