The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the leader and managerial authorities over assigned areas within the 688th Cyberspace Wing.
Organizational location of this position is: 688th Cyberspace Wing (688 CW), Plans, Programs, and Integration (XPG), JBSA Lackland AFB
Duties
DUTY 1 - Performs the full range of tasks for assigned areas such as assignment, enlistment, reenlistment, promotion, awards, performance evaluation, routine boards, separation, or similar actions and can perform a complete review of records to determine eligibility for actions.
DUTY 2 - Establishes, defines, and implements requirements for military personnel programs to ensure operations are in line with regulatory and fiscal requirements, support goals, and mission requirements.
DUTY 3 - The technical authority on all elements of active-duty military personnel specialties assigned to the wing.
DUTY 4 - Performs a leader for personnel management responsibilities.
DUTY 5 - Oversees updates, inquires, and processes actions on a wide variety of entitlement, allowance, and indebtedness actions by military personnel team members as well as processing these actions through military personnel data systems.

- All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a two-year DCIPS trial period.
- Must Obtain/Maintain Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.

- This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing.

- In the event of national crisis, extensive after-duty or extended hours may be required to satisfy urgent operational support requirements.

Qualifications
****You must understand that this is a TERM NTE position, and a 3 calendar day break in service (to exclude civilian and military retirees receiving an annuity) will be required prior to appointment to this position for current Federal permanent civilian employees.****-
This is a GG-12 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-12 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-12 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: Knowledge of the principles, concepts, techniques, standards, processes, and guides of military Human Resources procedures to process transactions and records update that are a part of the HR information system sufficient to maintain data quality for the HR database. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of the principles, concepts, techniques, standards, processes, and guides of military Human Resources procedures to process transactions and records update that are a part of the HR information system sufficient to maintain data quality for the HR database.
2. Knowledge of military programs, objectives, policies, procedures to assure a comprehensive understanding of Military Human Resources programs/services.
3. Knowledge of the principles, concepts, techniques, standards, processes, and guides of Military Personnel/Pay Management and ability to relate to personnel systems.
4. Knowledge of safety, security, personnel management, and EEO regulations, practices, and procedures.
5. Skilled in analyzing, planning, and adjusting work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources. 6. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and mentor, motivate, and evaluate the staff.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
