You will serve as an INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (APPSW) in the Information Technology Division of NAVAL ACADEMY.
Duties
You will consult for Software Engineering program with expert level focus on design and guiding the technical solution to complex business problems working in collaboration with a project team.
You will reduce overall project technical risk by uncovering design issues early in the project lifecycle, share and ensure adherence to best practices through design and code review, analysis of deliverables and project leadership.
You will leverage knowledge and experience of multiple cloud environments and on-premise software products to influence and guide teams to successful outcomes.
You will direct the technical roadmap for ERP software development; must be adept at engaging with business and technical executives across departments and the Academy to collaborate on future plans.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.
- This position is designated as a Workforce position in specialty areas 632 (primary), 451 (secondary), and 632 (tertiary) and as a condition of employment, incumbents of the position are required to comply with Program requirements SECNAV M-5239.2.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience and knowledge of advanced information technology (IT) computing principles, concepts, methods, standards, hardware, software, and practices as needed.
Experience and skill of software development and administration technologies utilized in a higher education environment.
Expert knowledge in Salesforce Object Search Language (SOSL), Salesforce Object Query Language (SOQL), Application Programming Interface (API) development; and APEX development, Security and Permissions, Dashboards and Reports, Workflow and Approvals, Visual Force, Data Modeling and Systems Integration.
Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
