About the Position: e US Army Medical Center of Excellence (MEDCoE) is located at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. The Center is where the Army Medical Department formulates its medical organization, tactics, doctrine, and equipment. The School is where the Army educates and trains all of its medical personnel.
This is a term appointment not to exceed three years.
This position is obligated. An obligated position is one to which an employee has statutory restoration rights.
Duties
Develop lectures to instruct students at the US Army Medical Center of Excellence (MEDCoE).
Review and revise course materials in the latest development I information systems.
Serve as the subject matter expert in computer science and information systems.
Manages the administration of Learning Management Systems (LMS) for the Branch.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent must be able obtain and maintain the security clearance required of the position. Multi-occupant PD. Refer to sequence number PD for security clearance requirements.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience that demonstrates knowledge in developing lesson plans within an in Information Architecture, Process Reengineering, Requirements Determination, Systems Design, Acquisition Management, Information Resource Management, IM Operations, Advanced Technology, and Network Technology. Develop training requirements, plan for and develop training materials, evaluate training effectiveness, and solve problems relating to training and readiness issues. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/ level position in the federal service GS-11.
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
