About the Position: Serves as a seasoned management analyst for the development and maintenance of Force Documentation, comprising requirements documentation (Tables of Organization and Equipment (TOEs) and Basis of Issue Plans (BOIPs)) and authorizations documentation (Modified TOEs (MTOEs) and Augmentation Tables of Distribution and Allowance (Aug TDAs)). Provides expert advice, recommendations, and assistance to members of the Team as required.

Duties

• Serves as an expert level analyst in the build and maintenance of requirements and authorization documents. • Works continuously to keep the existing Force Documentation database standard, integrated, current, accurate, and complete. • Ensure full coordination and communication with supported organizations on points of interest in the development of Force Documentation. • Serve as an expert level analyst for the development of Army force structure requirements and authorizations documents within the Army’s Force Management System (FMS). • Develop Modified Tables of Organization and Equipment (MTOE) and Augmentation Tables of Distribution and Allowance (AUGTDA) in support of Command Plan and Out of Cycles. • Develop Tables of Organization and Equipment (TOE) from approved Unit Reference Sheets and Basis of Issue Plans (BOIP) from BOIP feeder data received from the material developer.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Incumbent subject to a One-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
  • Position may require travel up to 25% of the time and must be physically able to do so. Must be able to travel overnight within 1 to 2 weeks' notice and operate a government sedan or rental car while traveling.
  • Due to the nature of this position, employees are required to work both planned and unscheduled overtime.
  • The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
  • Incumbent must have the physical dexterity to operate a computer keyboard and computer pointing device (mouse).
  • Incumbent must obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Specialized Experience for the GS-13: One year of specialized experience which includes 1. developing Tables of Organization and Equipment, Modified Tables of Organization and Equipment, Basis of Issue Plans, and Augmentation Tables of Distribution and Allowance in the Army's Force Management System; 2. providing expert guidance and information regarding force integration support and documentation. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
