Duties
Monitors assigned applications, performing regular and special checks and tests/verifications of the applications as well as underlying operating system (OS) and Relational Database Management System (RDBMS).
Maintain program and administrative reference materials, project files and relevant background documents and make available policies, procedures and written instructions from the supervisor
contd maintain current knowledge to answer questions from team members on procedures, policies, directives, etc.
Maintains current knowledge of on-going projects and assignments within the branch to ensure consistent mission support during times of absence and increases in work volume.
Develops, plans and schedules, estimating project and special assignment resource requirements, defining milestones and deliverables, monitoring activities, and evaluating and reporting on accomplishments.
Support the DLA SID team with coordination of Maintenance Windows, Authorized Service Interruptions, Authorized for Service Awareness, Broadcast Messages and INFSOPOTS for the DLA ERP and WMS Programs.
Serve as Administrator the for DLA SID Sharepoint site.
Supports the DLA Change Advisory Board and Technical Configuration Board activities.

Qualifications
To qualify for a IT Specialist (SYSADMIN/DATAMGT), your resume and supporting documentation must support:
A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
- Evaluates system performance and identifies preventative measures and/or problem areas by troubleshooting performance issues and modifying application operation, as needed.
- Prepares reports and maintains records of program accomplishments and administrative information.
- Coordinates the preparation, presentation and communication of project-related information to the supervisor.
- Provides expert advice and collaborates with system administrators, database administrators and other IT Specialists on such complex requirements as installs, upgrades and urgent fixes that simultaneously affect the operating system, database and application.
