About the Position: Performs Training Analysis and Feedback (TAF) duties to support rotational unit training within Operations Group at the National Training Center (NTC) Fort Irwin CA. This position provides support to rotational unit training through battle tracking, real time monitoring, data collection, computer operations and training analysis functions.
Duties
Provide feedback and situational awareness in support of rotational unit training.
Conduct real-time monitoring in order to provide tracking, data collection, computer operations, and training analysis for warfighting functions.
Gather data in order to analyze and provide observations from an instrumentation system and field Observer Controllers to assimilate data into useable information for After Action Reviews (AARs), Take Home Packages, and other output products.
Analyze training data to make recommendations for improvement or changes that will enhance attainability of training mission objectives.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a valid Driver's License.
- Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a Military Driver's License.
- Must be willing to travel on Temporary Duty (TDY) up to 25% of the time.
- Must be willing and able to work rotating shifts to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes utilizing instrumentation systems for the planning, monitoring, analysis and feedback of rotational unit training. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
OR
Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Logistics.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
