About the Position: Serves as the Contract Management Support Officer (CMSO) in the Installation Support Directorate (ISD) Functional Integration Division, with the primary responsibility to assist management in developing and identifying near and long-range plans to meet IMCOM service contract requirements.

Duties

Gathers, analyzes, and acts on a variety of information pertaining to program operations, specifically cost, schedule and performance data. Ensures objectives of annual financial plans are met on a timely basis by analyzing and reviewing processes and procedures. Reviews the execution plans for the Optimization of the Army Services Acquisition Program. Provides guidance and oversight for Optimization of Army Services Acquisition Program administration and data administration. Coordinates resources to identify and extract data necessary to support a performance metrics contracting progress. Develops training schedules for local contract officer representatives (CORs), as well as CMSO and other non-acquisition personnel.

  • THIS IS A FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT Level 2 Certified position. Failure to obtain this certification within the required time may subject the incumbent to adverse action.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service which includes: Assisting senior leaders in developing and identifying near and long range plans to meet organizational service contract requirements; participating in providing guidance to staff regarding financial management and obligation and expenditures of funds; reviewing execution plans for the agency's Acquisition Planning and Management Program and coordinating resources to identify and extract data necessary to support a performance metrics for contracting progress. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-012). Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
