This vacancy is for a Supervisory Program Specialist position in the Policy Coordination Office located at the U.S. Census Bureau Headquarters in Suitland, Maryland. The Census Bureau is accessible from the Metro Rail Green Line - Suitland Station.

Duties
Provides technical leadership and broad programmatic oversight to guide the managers of the Freedom of Information Act, Records Management, and History branches, coordinating activities among these branches.
Fosters internal and external communications to identify and resolve legal, policy, and privacy issues.
Recommends and develops projects to examine alternative concepts and methodologies to maximize efficient management and use of personnel, as well as fiscal and contractual resources, while minimizing risks.
Supervises one or more employees on a regular and recurring basis.

Qualifications
Specialized Experience: For the GS-15, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal services. Expert knowledge of the principles of strategic planning, and program development and review to develop programs to accomplish agreed-upon goals and objectives, including resources allocation to specific projects and project scheduling; Knowledge of the theory, principles, concepts, and practices of administrative management to analyze factual information, evaluate significant factors, and resolve complex problems related to the Policy Coordination Office, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), Records Management, and History activities; Skilled in written communications to prepare comprehensive reports, summary presentations, talking points, and recommendations to interpret and explain highly complex, and important agency policies, programs, and research findings; Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective and mutually cooperative work relationships with representatives within the Bureau and with other Federal agencies and private sector experts.
Education: Education can not substitute for experience at this grade level.
