You will serve as a SUPERVISORY MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the RADIOLOGICAL CONTROLS DEPARTMENT of PSNS and IMF.

Duties

You will perform a full range of analytical duties pertaining, but not limited to: Recruitment; Training; Productivity Improvement; Leave Administration; Pay Administration; Performance Management. You will conduct studies of issues to assist management in improving the effectiveness and efficiency of their organization’s performances, procedures, and functions. You will plan and assign work, develop performance objectives and standards, evaluate performance, serve as reviewing official for performance appraisals, make decisions on problems, and advise on work and administrative matters. You will conduct manpower studies/reviews in the context of knowledge, skills, abilities, speed, volume, and quality requirements of the work processes as opposed to cost effectiveness. You will develop new administration methods and approaches and evaluation criteria which serve as precedent for others. You will identify a need for and know where or how to gather information, organize and maintain information or information management systems, and determine its importance and accuracy, and communicate it by a variety of methods. You will convey written information in a clear, concise, organized, and convincing manner for the intended audience, using correct English grammar, punctuation, and spelling. You will express thoughts persuasively and use effective modes to reinforce message retention. You will develop the competencies of others to perform and contribute to the organization by inspiring and providing a learning environment of ongoing feedback and opportunities to learn through formal and informal methods. You will actively encourage and support enhancement of a joint perspective. You will inspire and foster team commitment, spirit, pride, and trust. You will facilitate cooperation and motivate team members to accomplish group goals. You will enable employees to address skill gaps and realize their highest potential.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: conducting analytical studies of program operations and work processes, in order to identify, analyze and recommend solutions in improving the efficiency and effectiveness of an organizational structure.
