You will serve as an Information Technology Specialist (CUSTSPT) at the GG-12 grade level for Navy Information Forces - Hopper Information Services Center, IT Operations Department, Assets Division (ISC-N34).
Salary is based on the 2024 DCIPS Stem/Cyber Targeted Local Market Supplement (TLMS).
Duties
You will install, configure, test, operate, maintain, and manage network devices including hardware, software, and operating systems that permit information sharing across the full spectrum of transmission using all media.
You will assist the Electronic Key Management System (EKMS) Custodian on an as-needed basis.
You will utilize a wide variety of voice and data communications hardware, software, and related ancillary devices to develop wireless and landline-based secure voice communications solutions in response to customer requirements.
You will diagnose and resolve secure telephony problems in response to customer reported anomalies.
You will provide secure telephony guidance to improve service to user organizations through formal and informal communication.
You will secure, handle, and operate the Communications Security (COMSEC) equipment and documentation which establish and maintain secure telephone communications.
You will develop customer support policies, procedures and standards for the organization.
You will make informed decisions relating to strategic communications issues for the organization.
You will assess information technology (IT) vulnerabilities, conduct information technology (IT) audits, establish metrics, and perform resource studies/evaluations.
You will provide guidance and customer training/support on matters relating to the use of Navy Special Intelligence communications systems and Intelligence Community (IC) communications policy.
Maintain compliance in all aspects of COMSEC handling (life cycle, inventory, storage, safeguarding, and destruction) for both electronic software and hardware.
You will review, update, and maintain the Telephony Communications Security (COMSEC) Emergency Destruction Plan.
Requirements

- You must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Failure to do so may result in the withdrawal of an offer or removal. Indicate the level and date of your clearance in your resume.

- This position may require a 2-year DCIPS Trial Period.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code (441), proficiency level (Intermediate). The incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and DoN policies.
Qualifications

In addition to your experience demonstrating the four competencies above, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS/GG-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as:
