You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the Product Support Management/Integration (PSM/I) Department, within the Sustainment Group of NAVAL AIR SYSTEMS COMMAND.
This announcement uses the Certain Personnel of the DoD direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
Duties
You will review previous or similar logistics support efforts to assess relevancy to mission assignments.
You will lead statutory and regulatory logistics risk assessments to validate arrangements are consistent with the overall product support strategy.
You will conduct training to various audiences on risk assessment outcomes.
You will develop assessment reports for programs in acquisition and sustainment as requested, scheduled or directed.
You will provide or maintain acquisition and sustainment policy and product support packages relative to functional responsibilities.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or NH-02 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Utilizing an effective approach to evaluate risk, life cycle cost, supportability, and support system performance from the perspective of life cycle cost system management;
2) Leading regulatory logistics risk assessments to validate arrangements are consistent with the overall product support strategy; and 3) Assisting in policy of logistics such as budget/funding, depot planning, configuration management, logistics support analysis and all other sub-elements.
