About the Position: The U.S. Military Entrance Processing Command, headquartered in North Chicago, IL, is a jointly staffed command, staffed by representatives of all branches of the Armed Forces. The command, through its 65 military processing locations (Military Entrance Processing Stations (MEPS)/Remote Processing Stations (RPS)), determines whether applicants are qualified for enlistment based on standards set by each of the services. This position will be filled as a Permanent position.

Duties

Provide services designed to maximize the well-being of our military and civilian workforce and their families. Manage and oversee traditional and conventional programs of the Command. Execute conferences, workshops, and events related to family readiness and well-being issues. Coordinate services that improve partnerships with community. Conduct analytical studies to identify issues/problems and recommend solutions or program improvements. Provide individuals with treatment or rehabilitative referral. Advise senior leadership on effectiveness of the well-being programs and projects.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position has been designated as non-sensitive and requires a personnel security investigation.
  • This position requires incumbent to obtain ACSAP Prevention Coordinator (PC) certification within 12 months of employment and maintain a current certification throughout employment.
  • This position may require incumbent to be subject to occasional on-call status.
