About the Position: The U.S. Military Entrance Processing Command, headquartered in North Chicago, IL, is a jointly staffed command, staffed by representatives of all branches of the Armed Forces. The command, through its 65 military processing locations (Military Entrance Processing Stations (MEPS)/Remote Processing Stations (RPS)), determines whether applicants are qualified for enlistment based on standards set by each of the services. This position will be filled on a permanent basis.

Duties

Manage various specialized civilian and military personnel programs for the HQ Military Entrance Processing Command, J-1 Human Resources Directorate. Advise top agency management officials on the development and implementation of HQ Military Entrance Processing Command’s human resources programs. Manage a strategic plan that provides all facets of human resources programs to support the accomplishment of goals/objectives by integrating long-range business plans and workforce requirements. Proactively plan, anticipating future command HR requirements and alternatives to meet those requirements. Motivate and inspire the workforce to effectively meet the needs of the command. Facilitate change management processes by effectively communicating strategic decisions.
