About the Position: Serves as Staff Action Control Officer (SACO) for the Headquarters, U.S. Army Materiel Command (HQ AMC), Deputy Chief of Staff (DCS) G-6 (CIO) in the Operations, Policy and Plans Division.

Duties

Provides a full range of staff action/task management services to include staff counsel, administrative expertise, and analytical functions. Receives, reviews, and conducts analyses of all incoming staff actions/tasks, policy and decision correspondence received from the Army Secretariat, OSD, the Joint Staff, HQDA, and other major Army commands. Participates in all phases of analysis, ascertaining timelines for response, determining or confirming required coordination procedures. Determination of intra-AMC responsibility for response preparation and for preparation of deliverables. Interfaces with all levels of the command structure and communicates effectively in interpersonal, oral, and written communications to direct and coordinate across the command at the executive through action officer level. Expedites staff actions/tasks, with respective elements to meet appropriate suspense. Plans, organizes, and communicates effectively with management to accept and implement recommendations that will change administrative policies and procedures to improve staff operations. May serve as the Internal Control Administrator. Makes initial determination of intra-AMC responsibility for response preparation and for preparation of deliverables.
