About the Position: Serve as a Plans Specialist (Force Modernization) for the Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization, and Security, Plans/Operations Division at Fort Sill, OK.
Duties
Monitor initial provision of support equipment, Special Tools and Test Equipment, and publications to ensure their availability to support the planned deployment schedule.
Provide information and guidance to instillation agencies to ensure that appropriate budget submissions are accomplished.
Direct the fielding of all new systems and equipment.
Apply program processes and operations, missions and functions in order to plan, schedule and conduct projects designated to analyze and make recommendations on major issues, program goals, and objectives concerning domestic plans and operations.
Coordinate the preparation of plans pertaining to Force Modernization support that affect the Installation and its assigned tenant organizations.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Preparing plans regarding the installation's missions and contingency operations; 2) Coordinating exercise requirements within the organization; AND 3) Identifying organizational and training deficiencies.This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
