About the Position: This position is with the Army Logistics Enterprise Support Agency (LESA), Audit Synchronization Division with assignments relating to audit readiness and the integration of logistics management functions, which include supply, maintenance, transportation and services. This position may be filled at the New Cumberland PA, Pentagon Arlington VA or Fort Belvoir VA, duty locations.

Duties

Responsible for assisting the Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff, G-4 (ADCS, G-4) in fulfilling Senior Accountable Official (SAO) audit readiness responsibilities. Integrate actions between the logistics, acquisition, and finance domains to ensure SAO audit priorities are addressed and briefed to senior leaders. Coordinate with Directorates to ensure auditor findings are responded to in accordance with policy or guidance and updated, as required. Serves as the subject matter expert pertaining to the integration of supply policy within the Army logistics system to enable and support audit readiness. Provide recommended policy updates utilizing a comprehensive knowledge of the logistics functions such as maintenance, transportation services, and materiel readiness in order to integrate it with supply. Prepares a variety of briefings for the Division Chief, Director, or Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff, G-4, derived from input from the Army’s Acquisition and Logistics communities.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes (1) providing functional and technical expertise to achieve high level audit readiness objectives for logistics/supply/transportation functions, (2) developing strategies for gathering and analyzing data to produce detailed audit corrective action plans (3) and recommending policy or procedural updates to address and resolve audit findings. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Audit ReportingAuditingCommunicationsInfluencing/Negotiating Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13). *All applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade and specialized experience requirements within thirty (30) days after the closing date of the announcements. Current employees applying under VEOA are subject to time-in-grade restrictions like any other GS employee.
