Job opening: Logistics Management Specialist

Salary: $132 368 - 172 075 per year

About the Position: This position is with the Army Logistics Enterprise Support Agency (LESA), and may be filled at the New Cumberland PA, or Fort Belvoir VA duty locations.

Duties

Lead a team with integrating actions between logistics, acquisition, and finance to ensure audit priorities are in accordance with the audit schedule. Perform data analytics of logistics information within agency systems to make policy and financial decisions. Update metrics and prepare correspondence/briefings for senior leadership on the agency's audit readiness posture. Keep senior leadership informed of audit activities, findings, and/or challenges to achieve agency audit objectives. Facilitate monthly acquisition and logistics audit updates for senior leaders.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Business travel/temporary duty (TDY) may be required up to 10% of the time.
  • 1-year probationary period may be required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) ensuring auditor findings are addressed in accordance with DoD financial management regulations with emphasis on property accountability; 2) developing strategy for gathering/analyzing data within agency systems for policy and financial decisions; 3) integrating logistics functions of supply, maintenance, and transportation with audit readiness priorities; and 4) leading a team to assist high level management in fulfilling audit readiness responsibilities as outlined in the auditability plan.
