About the Position: This position serves as the Chief of the Logistics Products Division for the U.S. Army Security Assistance Command. The Army's Face to the World, the one-stop focal point for Army FMS, and the international partner of choice in U.S. security assistance.

Duties

Serve as a senior advisor providing interpretive technical advisory services. Develop, counsel and provide training to subordinates to meet current and future mission requirements. Approve expenses for training, within grades increases, awards, overtime, and employee travel. Interpret and convey senior leaders' guidance, information and directives to subordinates. Supervise the implementation of logistics support to meet foreign military sales objectives.

Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
  • Percentage of time to be spent Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) is 10%.
  • The position requires DoD SC Workforce (SCW) Certification. The incumbent must complete certification-related training requirements in the SC Area of Concentration (AoC) within the timeframe associated with the position's SCW certification level.
  • One year Supervisory probation period if requirements have not already been completed.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes advising on foreign military sales procedures and policies; monitoring program efficiency and effectiveness within assigned areas; analyzing foreign military sales processes, policy/procedural issues to provide corrective action; and providing briefings to higher level officials on the development and execution of assigned programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
