About the Position: This position serves as a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist for the U.S. Army Security Assistance Command. The Army's Face to the World, the one-stop focal point for Army Foreign Military Sales, and the international partner of choice in U.S. security assistance.
Duties
Remedy adverse situations or potential problem areas ensuring the highest state of efficiency and economy in the security assistance program.
Serve as director responsible for executing the integration of the logistic and acquisition mission of development, staffing and distribution of systems, procedure and regulations.
Serve as project officer or command contact for major higher headquarters projects such as special tasks forces, studies, reports, briefings, management improvements.
Serve as project officer for major higher HQs projects, special task forces, studies, reports, briefs, management improvements and related logistics, acquisition, contracting, and facilities areas of responsibility.
Align, control, and direct resources to meet unpredictable and changing situation caused by external influence and conditions.
Periodically reviews job descriptions of subordinates for currency and accuracy.
Manage Financial Liability Investigation of Property Loss reports for the command ensuring proper accountability through hand receipt reviews.
Oversee the management of facilities located at multiple geographic separated organizations.
Requirements
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
- Percentage of time to be spent Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) is 20%.
- The position requires DoD SC Workforce (SCW) Certification. The incumbent must complete certification-related training requirements in the SC Area of Concentration (AoC) within the timeframe associated with the position's SCW certification level.
- This position may require a one year Supervisory probation period if requirements have not previously been met.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes advising on program procedures and policies; monitoring program efficiency and effectiveness within assigned areas; analyzing program processes, policy/procedural issues to provide corrective action; reviewing training requests, hiring policies, and/or problems presented by subordinate personnel; and providing briefings to higher level officials on the development and execution of assigned programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14).
