This position is located in the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Intelligence Division (NC), Program Management and Budget Section (NCM), Budget Unit (NCMB).
The incumbent's primary responsibilities are those pertaining to providing basic financial and budgetary services and supporting programs.

As a Supervisory Financial Analyst, your typical work assignments may include:
Exercising supervisory and/or managerial authorities and provides occupational specific technical and administrative direction at least 25% or more of the time over subordinate employee performing the work and functions of the organization.
Advising and providing counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management.
Directing the preparation and coordination of budget analyses and special studies of DEA intelligence activities and other issues as appropriate.
Evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of NC policies, procedures, and programs, and provides recommendations for changes in policy or operations to NCM and the Chief of Intelligence (NC).
Preparing all NC yearly budget submissions, responses to the Spring Planning Call, and Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and Congressional budget.
Researching, interpreting, analyzing, and applying proper guidelines, policies, regulations, etc.
Establishing policies and procedures for accomplishment of planning & integration work.
Serving as a technical authority in determining short- and long-range program goals, objectives, and key indicators that measure program performance.
Collaborating with high-level program management officials in planning annual program
activities.

Qualifications
You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying specialized experience equivalent 13. Specialized experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. One year of specialized experience for this position includes: experience in providing technical guidance and advice in all matters regarding financial and budgetary issues; organizing work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short term priorities, and prepares schedules; Planning and directing all section operating accounts, as the supervisory technical authority on all budgetary/ financial matters; and responding to Congressional request and inquiries.

Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-14 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-13. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade.
