National Defense University (NDU) supports the joint warfighter by providing rigorous Joint Professional Military Education to members of the U.S. Armed Forces and select others in order to develop leaders who have the ability to operate and creatively think in an unpredictable and complex world.
Duties
Analyze assigned financial management systems for inconsistencies in data output and propose changes in policy and program operations.
Perform analytical and administrative duties related to the NDU travel card program.
Provides required reports to Resources Support Officer on the Government Travel Card (GTC) as well as sets suspenses for card holders to provide data to obtain total NDU data.
Administration of Defense Travel System (DTS) at the organization level and, as such, assists the Lead Defense Travel Administrator with overall DTS administration for the site.
Perform administrative work of a fiscal and financial management nature. Identify budget abnormalities such as outstanding obligations, Negative Unliquidated Obligations (NULO's), and retrieve expenditure data for reconciling financial systems.

Qualifications
You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GS-9 grade level in the Federal service.
Specialized Experience is defined as: 1) preparing and analyzing data reporting obtained from financial systems, 2) performing analytical and administrative duties related to Travel Systems and Travel Cards, and 3) providing assistance to customers regarding purchase orders.
Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and can provide valuable training and experience that translates to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Education is substitutable for specialized experience for this grade level.
Substitution of Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related.
