About the Position: Serve as the administrator for all of the commands financial systems to include sustaining the General Fund Enterprise Business Systems (GFEBS) and other financial systems to improve performance.
Duties
Develop methods to obtain data and evaluate the impact of new or proposed policies on financial business processes.
Identify and define processes, and operational steps required for to ensure proper operations for GFEBS and all other interfacing financial systems
Recommend changes that will optimize the operations within the new systems; and work policy changes associated with the business process re-engineering activities.
Interpret policies and ensure compliance with financial policies mandated by DOD, Army and MDW.
Assist in defining actual process operations and operational steps to be executed by users and determine the impact of new business processes on existing organizational structures.
Ensure proper establishment of Centrally Billed Accounts (CBA's) through DTS, traditional methods, and the government charge card vendor (GCCV) account system.
Provide command wide financial systems oversight.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must maintain or possess a Financial Management Level 2 Certification
- Travel outside of the local community may be required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes utilizing, sustaining and operating financial automated systems to improve financial performance and standardize financial system processes, preferably General Fund Enterprise Business Systems (GFEBS). This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
