You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the MARITIME ELECTRONIC WARFARE SYSTEMS DIVISION within the SPECTRUM WARFARE DEPT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.
This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-13 and GS-14.
Duties
You will serve as the branch manager of the Sustainment Engineering Branch in the Maritime Electromagnetic Warfare Systems Division.
You will support and lead sustainment engineering efforts, execute Life Cycle Sustainment Plans (LCSPs), and oversee production integration testing and depot repair.
You will evaluate subordinate supervisors and staff personnel, approve leave, recommend discipline, awards, promotions, and other personnel
actions and resolve employee complaints.
You will serve in an essential role in furthering Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Affirmative Action Program (AAP) goals and objectives.
You will apply knowledge of maritime electromagnetic warfare principles, Shipboard Modernization knowledge and familiarity with life cycle management and engineering agent roles and responsibilities.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band (NT-04; GS-11/12 equivalency) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector coordinating acquisition efforts, technical design, integration, in-service engineering or life-cycle support of a warfare project or program.
