You will serve as a PROGRAM MANAGER in the Global Deterrence Defense Dept (GX) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. ****Open to applicants of ORG GXD and GXDN. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-6 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-14 and GS-15.

Duties

You will serve as the Execution Advisor (PM) for the Microelectronics Commons Program, supporting the Microelectronics Principal Director (PD), Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering, OUSD (R and E). You will coordinate across Navy, other DoD labs, the White House, and the interagency to leverage commonalities and synergistic programs/efforts for Microelectronics Commons, which are managed under the overall leadership and direction of OSD. You will also collaborate with the Microelectronics Commons Consortium Manager, NSTXL, to execute the program. You will be central and key to the Command strategy related to national leadership in the Advanced Electronics Technical Capability area and the Strategic Missions Focus Area.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band, NT-05 (GS-13/14 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: evaluating program requirements, funding expenditures, or capabilities to ensure effective execution of workload or quality of support and services to assigned customers.
