You will serve as a Senior Design Technician in the Energetics and Ordnance Components and Ordnance Systems Division of NAVSURFWARCEN IH DIV.
Duties
You will prepare product fabrication drawing packages for various containers and handling equipment using CAD to meet Government and Engineering standards.
You will serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Transportation (PHST) Division for drawing documentation preparation and revision.
You will select material, hardware and finish to agree with environmental conditions and design specifications.
You will function as an expert in applying true-position tolerance to designs to assure proper fit of components and assemblies.
You will work with engineers to gather pertinent engineering data required for drawings.
You will lead teams of junior technicians and engineers to produce complex drawing packages. This includes mentoring junior technicians and engineers.
You will communicate with vendors and equipment manufacturers to ensure drawings reflect practical, low-cost manufacturability.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 pay band (GS-11/12 grade level equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Developing, revising, and documenting design drawings for equipment utilizing software tools to meet Government and Engineering standards.
