This is a Direct Hire Authority solicitation for Domestic Defense Industrial Base & Major Range and Test Facilities Base to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serve as an Administrative Support Specialist for Crane Army Ammunition Activity.

Duties

Responsible for Protocol for Crane Army Ammunition Activity events. Coordinate and ensures procedures meet office needs and are consistently understood and followed. Independently develop, initiate, review, and analyze administrative policies and procedures for implementation throughout the Activity Advise staff and ensure understanding of administrative and procedural requirements. Represent the Command in meetings, conferences, and committees dealing with matters of administrative policies, procedures, and practices. Receive visitors and screen phone calls for Activity leadership, determines the identity of callers and nature of calls, and directs them to appropriate staff or directly provides information.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Temporary duty (TDY) business travel is required less than 25% of the time.
  • Must obtain and maintain Secret Clearance.

Qualifications

Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. General Experiences: Three years of progressively responsible general work experience with one year of that experience equivalent to the NH-01 grade level, which includes: screen visitors and phone calls to direct to appropriate area of the organization. Prepare travel orders for staff using automated travel system. Track local personnel accountability for organization. Maintain electronic and hard copy files for the organization. OR Education: Four year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 36. Then divide your total number of completed undergraduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 120. Add the two percentages.
