About the Position: Serves as a Senior Logistician and Technical Manager for the Army Field Support Brigade (AFSB) in Future Operations. Advises the AFSB leadership and staff, and subordinate elements on technical program matters of future operations.
Duties
Provide advice and guidance on planning and policy issues that involve future operations.
Monitor and assists in development of emerging concepts, doctrine, and procedures.
Brief leadership on key products including course of action development to support future operations.
Research, interpret and develop logistical operation policies, plans, concepts and regulations to make improvement recommendations for management consideration.
Perform operations planning focusing on contingency and crisis action planning.
Provide advice/guidance on planning and policy issues that involve future operations
Provide oversight of logistical operations performance to ensure compliance with established policies and regulations.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Position requires incumbent employee to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- Temporary Duty travel (TDY) may be required up to 20%.
- Required to work extended hours during training exercises and may be required to live and work under field conditions.
- This position has been designated as "Emergency-Essential". Emergency-Essential designation takes precedence over any transportation agreement or military recall status.
