Duties
Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short term priorities and prepares schedules for completion of work; assigns work to subordinates based on priorities.
Serves as Apprentice Training Program Manager, responsible for supervising and training skilled labor/craft Apprentices throughout their comprehensive 4 year training program.
Coordinates all tours through Operations Directorate floor space.
Serves as the principle Records Manager for the directorate.
Requirements
- Position may be filled as a term appointment NTE 4 years. Term appointments may be extended beyond 6 years, up to 8 years. With DoD approval, term appointments may be extended beyond 8 years.
- Current permanent Federal employees (to include permanent Army employees) applying for a term appointment will be appointed/converted into a term appointment with no statutory return rights back to a permanent position.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
- This position has a data analytics requirement. The incumbent must meet all requirements for data analytics level 2 certification within 24 months of being placed on the position.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
