The primary purpose of this position is: Facilitate the development of the AF Insider Threat Program, integrate information protection security program functions and processes to address risks within the security enterprise, and collaborate with security enterprise program action officers to address security concerns to the Air Force Security Enterprise Executive Board.
Duties
Duty 1: Facilitates the development of the AF Insider Threat Program (ITP).
Duty 2: Integrates security and information protection functions and processes within the enterprise and develops managed business process solutions to address risks and interdependencies.
Duty 3: Supports, organizes and facilitates the Air Force Security Enterprise Executive Board (AFSEEB) on behalf of the SAF/AAZ Director.

- Department of Defense Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) and Security Program Integration Professional Certification (SPIPC) conferrals are required within 2 years of the established employee EOD
Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-13, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes applying knowledge of a wide range of concepts, principles, practices, regulations, and laws applicable to protection; as well as extensive knowledge of the overall Information Protection program to include Acquisition Security, Program Protection, Information Security, Physical Security, Personnel Security, Operations Security, Foreign Disclosure, and Information Assurance in order to serve as a technical authority for assignments requiring the application of new theories and developments to security issues not commonly resolved by standard accepted security methods, technology, or procedures and resolve major conflicts in policy and program objectives.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-13 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-14 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of a wide range of security specialties, concepts, principles, criteria, requirements, technology, and practices.
2. Knowledge of the intelligence enterprise to support and promote information sharing and strategies.
3. Mastery knowledge of information security concepts, principles, and practices to analyze, and resolve issues.
4. Expert knowledge in analytical theories, processes, programs and practices
5. Sophisticated understanding and skill in applying broad or in-depth expertise in highly complex and ambiguous situations.
6. Strong writing and oral communication skills to inform and persuade.
Other Significant Facts: This position is a designated national security position.
